This house is owned by a local artist; Luis. He used to live here as a single father with one of his daughters. After spending a lot of time in the Jungle, he is back living in his house with his dog and 2 cats.
The house and its facilities are very simple, but have a creative and alternative ambiance due to Luis’s artwork around the house. There is a big, open kitchen area which the rooms are based around. You will have to go out and buy soap, toilet paper, cleaning products etc.
Whenever Luis is around in Huanchaco, he is very friendly, philosophical and interactive, and he can introduce you to a lot of interesting people. He offers lessons in sculpting, culture and various other arts, is interested in alternative therapies and will also be happy to take you out surfing. The atmosphere in this house is very chill, earthy, communal and would be a great place to practice Spanish.

Christina, female, 23 years old, Australia:
"I had a great time. Not for everybody, but those who it suits will have a fun experience."
Sarah, female, 24 years old, USA:
"It´s worth the stay to use the fire heated shower! Keep your door closed to keep all animals out of your room (turtle poop). Keep extra toilet paper as they tend to run out."
