Carlos and Peluche's House on Manco Capac street in Huanchaco
Price: 350 soles per month (about $130) or 12 soles per night
Manco Capac is in the centre of Huanchaco, one block from the Medical Clinic and the central market, close to the beach, lots of restaurants and buses to Trujillo (takes 30 minutes).
The house is owned by Carlos and Peluche, a nice retired couple who live on their own with two bedrooms to rent to volunteers. Their son Kike and his wife Silvana also live in Huanchaco and they also offers homestays for volunteers.
There are two bedrooms available for volunteers, (both with double beds and a TV with cable). You will have access to all common areas, the kitchen, living room, laundry area and shared bathroom with hot water. There are no animals in the house.
You will receive keys to the main entrance to the house and to your bedroom. There is no curfew, you can come home whenever you like, but there are no guests allowed into the house. The family is very warm and welcoming and offer a great opportunity to practice your Spanish. Don't be surprised if you quickly become a beloved member of the family!
