Project overview
Otra Cosa Restaurant is now a completely separate business from the not-for-profit NGO Otra Cosa Network, which acts primarily to bring volunteers to various community projects in Peru. However Otra Cosa Network and Otra Cosa Restaurant continue to co-operate with Otra Cosa Network providing volunteers to the Restaurant when required and the Restaurant continues to donate 50% of its tips to charity projects.
Serving up healthy, vegetarian, organic and locally produced dishes to local and tourist clientele alike, volunteering at Otra Cosa Restaurant is a sociable and enriching position.
When Otra Cosa volunteers are working, parts of the tips are made available to community projects, helping to fund occasional special events.
Working alongside 6 members of staff, there are vacancies for 1-2 volunteers to join the team.
The Otra Cosa Restaurant is situated at the northern end of Huanchaco, opposite the sea.
