Project Overview
Otra Cosa Network is both a UK Register Charity (No. 1133680) and a Peru registered NGO (11126841), helping community projects to improve local people’s quality of life through volunteering in Peru.
Founded in beautiful Peruvian northern coast in 2004, Otra Cosa Network has been offering personal development and an affordable and rewarding volunteering & cultural experience to international volunteers, as well as offering our local network projects professional services through well motivated, carefully selected, well supported volunteers.
Our mission is to continue, grow and develop a low cost, high quality, full service volunteer agency, offering volunteers personal development and an affordable, satisfying and rewarding experience while offering volunteer organizations a professional service supplying well motivated, carefully selected, well supported volunteers.
We need volunteer help out in not main admin tasks, but essential tasks such as marketing, updating info folders, writing and sending out quarterly newsletters, etc.
By doing this you are indirectly helping all the projects we support, as they wouldn’t have a flow of volunteers through us unless Otra Cosa Network was working smoothly and efficiently. Also, once you've worked here a little, you may be able to suggest ideas for improving our practices - we are willing to learn!
Volunteers can combine working on this part time with some part-time work on one of their 'front line' social projects.
Volunteer Roles/ Working Hour
The office volunteer will work under direct supervision of the Operations Manager. Office hours are from 9am to 1pm from Mon - Fri. Volunteers are requested to commit 20 hours per week, and working hours and the dates can be coordinated upon arrival (flexible)

We also welcome any suggestions to improve our processes or administration to better serve the projects we work with and support the volunteers who come here.
